Pages now keeps every version of your work

Browse and restore earlier versions of any page, and keep the conversation about an idea right on the idea page.

It’s Thursday, three people have been editing the page for next week’s launch, and someone asks what the intro said before the last round of changes. Nobody has to remember. Pages does.

That’s the change we’re most excited about this week. Pages keeps every save, so you can browse earlier versions and restore any of them with a tap. On the web, a comparison highlights exactly what changed, word by word. And when two people edit the same page at once, ContentCrew warns you, and you choose whether to reload the latest version or copy your text across. You stay in charge of what the page says.

We think the work around your content belongs in one place with the content itself, and that includes its history.

The new idea page is the other highlight: it keeps the conversation on the idea itself. Comments sit inline, where you can reply to them, edit them, and resolve them once the question is settled. Everything that happens to the idea runs in one activity timeline, and status, pillar, and assignee sit together in a sidebar. When a teammate asks whether Tuesday’s Reel idea fits the launch pillar, you answer and resolve it right there on the idea. Replying feels like a real thread, too, with your avatar by the reply field and a box that grows as you type.

Two smaller ones in Insights are worth a look, too. The retention chart labels its drop-offs and shows tooltips as you hover, so you can see where people drop off. And country breakdowns in post insights show percentages, so you see at a glance where your audience is coming from.

Next time you save a page, open its history and have a look. We think you’ll love it. Every change from the week, with its date, is on the changelog.
